Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates

Just as our small business grew from demand from our followers for custom products featuring the amazing wild horses that call Theodore Roosevelt National Park home, in 2021 requests from our followers for a nonprofit organization that was the voice of the wild horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park prompted us to create Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates (CHWHA).

You can learn more on our website at www.chwha.org.

CHWHA is a 501(c)3 organization that advocates for the wild horses that call the Park home.

In December of 2022, Theodore Roosevelt National Park announced their plans to eliminate the ENTIRE herd of horses from the boundaries of the Park.  CHWHA has been leading the fight to save them.

In September of 2023, Theodore Roosevelt National Park released their Draft Environmental Assessment that supports the plans they proposed last December!

CHWHA was granted an extension to the current public comment period.  Comments MUST be received by November 24, 2023, and can only be submitted through the Park's planning website: ParkPlanning - Livestock Plan Environmental Assessment [Open for Comment] (nps.gov) or by mail: Superintendent, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, P.O. Box 7, Medora, ND 58645.

Our physical store has been a hub for people looking for information on how they can help keep these historic wild horses IN Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  We also carry merchandise that helps support our nonprofit.

Your purchase from our small business allows us the freedom we need as we continue to spend countless hours advocating for these horses, especially at this critical time in their history.

Ther best way to help support our advocacy work is to make a donation directly to our nonprofit as 100% of your donation to Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates is tax deductible. Donations can be made on the CHWHA website at https://chwha.org/support-chwha/
